About The Program

Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is the nationally recognized qualification for anyone who wants to become a registered builder, site manager, or construction project manager in Australia. This is not a hands-on trade course—it’s about managing construction projects, understanding building codes, estimating costs, administering contracts, and supervising teams.

Over 52 weeks, you’ll gain the skills to manage residential projects (Class 1 and 10 buildings up to 3 storeys) and commercial projects (Class 2-9 Type B and C buildings). You’ll learn how to read complex plans, apply the National Construction Code, calculate project costs, select and manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and legal requirements. By the end, you’ll have the qualification required for builder registration in most Australian states.

This course is designed for people who already work in construction and want to move into management or licensing, or for those transitioning from trades into supervisory roles. It’s practical, regulation-focused, and built around what you need to run construction projects professionally and legally.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO DO

This diploma is about turning construction knowledge into management competence. You’ll be able to run building projects from contract to completion, ensuring they meet codes, stay on budget, and finish on time. Here’s what you’ll walk away knowing:

Produce accurate cost estimates for building projects, prepare labour and material schedules, monitor costing systems, manage budgets and variations, control project finances.

Select, prepare, and administer construction contracts, understand legal requirements for building projects, manage contract variations and disputes, ensure compliance with Australian building legislation.

Apply building codes and standards to Class 1 and 10 buildings, apply codes to Class 2-9 Type C buildings, understand the National Construction Code (NCC), ensure projects meet regulatory requirements.

Apply structural principles to buildings up to 3 stories, interpret complex construction plans and specifications, understand geotechnical and site survey data, assess building systems and services.

From Enquiry To Trade Qualification In 4 Clear Steps

Most training colleges make enrollment feel like a bureaucratic maze. We don’t. Here’s exactly what happens after you contact us:

Step 1: Get in Touch (Today)

Drop an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp us, or email. Our support team responds within 24 hours—by phone, email, or WhatsApp, depending on how you reached out. No auto-replies. Actual people.

We'll review your documents: Year 12 results, English proficiency (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent), and ID. If something's missing or needs clarification, we'll tell you exactly what to fix. If you're borderline on English, we'll help you figure out your options.

Once you're eligible, you pay an initial deposit to reserve your place. International students: we process your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) so you can apply for your student visa. Domestic students: we finalize admission and send you the enrolment paperwork.

Show up to orientation week, meet your trainers and classmates, get your White Card safety certification, and start hands-on work in the workshop. No surprises. Just clear direction.

Note: If you’re a domestic student, the process is even faster—we skip the visa step and move straight from admission to fees to start date.
