About The Program

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is the nationally recognized qualification for early childhood educators who want to design curriculum, lead teams, and take on management responsibilities in childcare settings. This is not an entry-level course—it builds on Certificate III and prepares you for leadership roles like Educational Leader, Centre Coordinator, or Room Leader.

Over 52 weeks, you’ll learn how to plan and implement curriculum aligned with Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework, supervise other educators, ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, and work in partnership with families. You’ll complete 280 hours of practical work placement in regulated childcare services, applying theory directly in real environments. By the end, you’ll have the qualification required to work in leadership roles across long day care, family day care, preschools, and kindergartens.

This course is designed for Certificate III holders who are ready to move beyond basic care into educational program design and team supervision. It’s practical, compliance-focused, and built around the standards set by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

From Enquiry To Trade Qualification In 4 Clear Steps

Most training colleges make enrollment feel like a bureaucratic maze. We don’t. Here’s exactly what happens after you contact us:

Step 1: Get in Touch (Today)

Drop an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp us, or email. Our support team responds within 24 hours—by phone, email, or WhatsApp, depending on how you reached out. No auto-replies. Actual people.

We'll review your documents: Year 12 results, English proficiency (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent), and ID. If something's missing or needs clarification, we'll tell you exactly what to fix. If you're borderline on English, we'll help you figure out your options.

Once you're eligible, you pay an initial deposit to reserve your place. International students: we process your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) so you can apply for your student visa. Domestic students: we finalize admission and send you the enrolment paperwork.

Show up to orientation week, meet your trainers and classmates, get your White Card safety certification, and start hands-on work in the workshop. No surprises. Just clear direction.

Note: If you’re a domestic student, the process is even faster—we skip the visa step and move straight from admission to fees to start date.

You'll need to organize 280 hours of work placement at an approved early childhood service. We can assist you in finding suitable placement providers, but you're responsible for securing the placement and meeting the service's requirements (WWCC, immunization, etc.).

You can take an English test through another provider, or if you've completed Year 12 in Australia within the last 3 years, that may satisfy the requirement. Contact us to confirm.

Get in touch via enquiry form, email, or WhatsApp. We'll assess your eligibility based on your circumstances.

Yes. A current Working with Children Check (Victoria) or equivalent state clearance is legally required to work in early childhood services and complete work placement. You must have this before starting placement. Apply through www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
