About The Program
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the nationally recognized entry-level qualification for anyone who wants to work as an early childhood educator in Australia. This is a hands-on, practical course that teaches you how to care for, support, and educate children from birth to age 6 in regulated childcare settings.
Over 52 weeks, you’ll learn how to support children’s health and wellbeing, plan play-based learning activities, observe children’s development, work with families, and meet legal and safety requirements. You’ll complete 160 hours of practical work placement in regulated early childhood services—long day care, preschools, or family day care—applying what you learn in real childcare environments. By the end, you’ll have the minimum qualification required to work as an early childhood educator across Australia.
This course is designed for people starting their career in childcare, whether you’re 18 and just finished school, a parent wanting to turn experience into a career, or an international student building a future in Australia. It’s practical, compliance-focused, and built around Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

From Enquiry To Trade Qualification In 4 Clear Steps
Most training colleges make enrollment feel like a bureaucratic maze. We don’t. Here’s exactly what happens after you contact us:
Step 1: Get in Touch (Today)
Drop an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp us, or email. Our support team responds within 24 hours—by phone, email, or WhatsApp, depending on how you reached out. No auto-replies. Actual people.
Step 2: Check Eligibility (1-2 Days)
We'll review your documents: Year 12 results, English proficiency (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent), and ID. If something's missing or needs clarification, we'll tell you exactly what to fix. If you're borderline on English, we'll help you figure out your options.
Step 3: Secure Your Spot (3-5 Days)
Once you're eligible, you pay an initial deposit to reserve your place. International students: we process your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) so you can apply for your student visa. Domestic students: we finalize admission and send you the enrolment paperwork.
Step 4: Start Building (January or April 2026)
Show up to orientation week, meet your trainers and classmates, get your White Card safety certification, and start hands-on work in the workshop. No surprises. Just clear direction.
Note: If you’re a domestic student, the process is even faster—we skip the visa step and move straight from admission to fees to start date.
FAQs
Do I need childcare experience to enroll?
No. This is an entry-level qualification designed for people new to the early childhood sector. We'll teach you everything you need to know.
What's included in the $10,000 fee?
All training, assessments, learning materials, access to placement support, and EYLF/NQS reference documents. Not included: your laptop, Working with Children Check application fee, First Aid training (if completed externally), and any travel costs to/from placement services.
Can I use my current workplace for the 160-hour placement?
Yes, if you're already employed in a regulated early childhood education and care service (long day care, preschool, kindergarten, family day care). Your employer and Edunex trainers will need to approve the arrangement, and assessments will be conducted at your workplace.
What if I'm not currently working in childcare?
You'll need to organize 160 hours of work placement at an approved early childhood service. We can assist you in finding suitable placement providers, but you're responsible for securing the placement and meeting the service's requirements (WWCC, immunization, etc.).
What if I don't have IELTS 5.5?
You can take an English test through another provider, or if you've completed Year 12 in Australia within the last 3 years, that may satisfy the requirement. Contact us to confirm.
How do I apply for a scholarship?

Do I need a Working with Children Check?
Yes. A current Working with Children Check (Victoria) or equivalent state clearance is legally required to work in early childhood services and complete work placement. You must have this before starting placement. Apply through www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au. Processing time is typically 2-4 weeks.
Can I work while studying?

Do I need a First Aid certificate?
First Aid (HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting) is included as a core unit in this course. You'll complete this training as part of your qualification.
What's the difference between Certificate III and Diploma?
